Chapter Three
Exploring Data

Additional Resources

Solutions to Problems
Worked solutions to the Problems in Exercise 3Lin the textbook. The file starts with a section on Learning to Solve Problems. All of the solutions to problems in this textbook series will also have a 'Hints' page. Since students have little experience at solving problems of this type, the hints are not subtle.

Datasets
The datasets used in this chapter are available as grouped files for the TI-82, TI-83 and TI-83 Plus graphics calculators. The datasets are stored in programs, which is the most efficient method of storing datasets. Click here to learn how to access and use these datasets, and to store your own data in progams. To copy these files to your hard drive, right-click, select 'Save Target As..', select a folder, and click on [Save].

Statistics Using the CFX-9850GB Plus Calculator
A nice little introduction to statistics on the Casio CFX-9850GB Plus calculator. This was presented at QAMTAC 2001 by Damian Freiberg and Phil Perkins, students from QUT.
